Petronas Twin Towers
“ The tallest building in the World ”
Officially opened by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir on 31 August 1999 (National Day), the 88-storey Petronas Twin Towers rises like sentinels in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Standing at the height of 1483 feet (451.9 metre), it was designed by Cesar Pelli and Associates, costing US$1.2billion! It’s architecture is simply amazing as the floor-plate of the Tower is designed based on geometric patterns common in architecture of Islamic heritage. It symbolizes unity, harmony, stability and rationality - all important principles of Islam. Unlike any other tall structures, the Towers were specially designed to have a Malaysian feel.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

“ Airport in the forest, forest in the airport ”
A spectacular airport that combines futuristic technology, tropical splendour of pure natural resources and true Malaysian culture. On 29 June 1998, the RM19billion airport situated in Sepang, Malaysia was opened by His Royal Highness Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Ja’afar. Covering 10,000 hectares (25,000 acres), it was designed by renowned Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa and was completed in four and a half years. Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohammad said, “KLIA is not just an airport. It is a piece of art, dedicated to beauty as well as the environment. It relates to the greenness and the forests of Malaysia, both inside and outside.”. Overall, it’s an environment-friendly hi-tech marvel.

Kuala Lumpur Tower
“ The tallest structure in South-East Asia, the tallest single standing concrete structure in the World and fourth tallest communication tower in the World ”
Experience a panoramic view of the whole Kuala Lumpur from its 421 metre (1403 feet) height. The tower is a highly innovative combination of retail, leisure, entertainment, and hi-tech center of telecommunications. Officially launched by Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir, it became a highly visible and prestigious landmark. One interesting fact about this magnificent tower is that you can have the chance to eat at the world’s highest McDonalds there!
Putrajaya
“ An intelligent city. A garden city. ”

Putrajaya is named after in memory of Malaysia’s first prime minister, YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. Launched by prime minister Mahathir in 1995, he tagged the capital’s name with the suffix ‘jaya’ which means ‘success’ in Malay. Putrajaya, a sprawling 4,581 hectare (11,300 acre) metropolis of beautifully landscaped gardens and domed buildings is Malaysia’s third federal territory, after Kuala Lumpur and Labuan. Termed as Malaysia’s first Intelligent Garden City, Putrajaya was designed with natural landscape enhancement, cityscape optimization, intelligent infrastuctural features, information technology and ideal environment, guided with 3 simple ideologies: Man and His Creator, Man and man, Man and nature.
Cyberjaya

“ Malaysia’s version of Silicon Valley ”
Cyberjaya is strategically located right in the center of the so-called Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC), a suburb of Kuala Lumpur and one of Asia’s most ambitious construction projects. Nestled in a jungle of palm oil plantations outside Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya envisages offices for high-tech companies, providing top-quality business and recreational facilities, housing and supporting infrastructure. This environmental yet technological wonder is predicted to be completed in the year 2011, expected to eventually cost US$5.3 billion and usher Malaysia into the information age.
